Back From a Brief Commercial Break...

Well, well, well. It's three months down the line from my last post...I know that the blog had just been getting started up, and *plop* it already dropped down the gutter. A lot has happened since then, some bad, some good. I've taken longer WoW breaks, for sure, but this particular pit stop has dropped me in on some very volatile times in Azeroth. I saw the newest cinematic trailer for Cataclysm a couple weeks ago, and my jaw dropped. I had to go back. I had to be there. I had always regretted being gone for the events leading up to BC and WotLK, because life never quite wanted me to witness them. But now, it seems as if I have the opportunity to be at the top of the line come Cataclysm. I'll be at equal heading with everyone else, and, let me tell you, catching up from level 60 all the way to 80 after Wrath had already been out for about half a year wasn't very fun. I was always behind the game, always trying to get ahead of the others around me only to find out that another tier of armor had broken and that I would have to struggle again to get it. But that's the fun of it, eh?

With Cataclysm breaking to shelves soon, there are more events to be had, places to be seen, dialogues to be watched, and message boards to read than ever. And, on top of this, the Hunter is a whole new class. Man...I'm excited to get back. I have a lot of catching up to do, a lot of guides to write, reviews to put out, etc., etc., but getting back is great. It's time to prepare for the Cataclysm, and Jesus, won't it be fun?

Maybe I'll even transfer to Wordpress and my own personal domain if I can get enough readers behind me...

Say Hello To My Litt--Big Friend!

Could I have gone without the Scarface reference? Absolutely. But I have to say, I have wanted an appropriate time to say that for a long, long time. And this seems about as good as it gets. (It's lowbrow no matter what way you put it. It's a guilty pleasure, yes, but I did it, and I ca--won't go back.) Anyways, this gun that I had to run PoS, non-stop, with no other activity but farming Mithril, to get, is very worth it. These groups had gotten me to the point, between the ninjas, the people who leave as soon as they don't get their piece of loot from the first boss, and the ones who leave the first time we wipe, that I was going to give up. It was too many times I had seen Ick dead, but no Bolter on heroic mode.

Too many times I had seen Scourgelord Tyrannus dead with no rifle. But then this beautiful gun dropped, and I don't regret the time spent a bit. Not only is it great for damage (believe me, you don't even want to know what I use to have), but it's a great weapon to show off to all mah budehs. It's the Rimebane Rifle, and jeez, it's nice. I love the quirks to this gun, like the slightly goofy skull in a fire ball along the sides of the barrel. I only regret I can't use this gun and its double-forked blades as a melee weapon... oh well, check the pic, and tell me what you think (if anybody's in there).

Goings On Around Azeroth

It's been a few days since I've posted, it's been a busy week. I've been grinding PoS non-stop lately, and really tired myself out every night (more on this later). But, I'm back, and I thought I would share with you the most impressive spam I've ever seen. Many of you have probably already seen this, but in all my years around WoW, I've never witnessed such trickery by spammers. Keep in mind, I do not, not, not want you to go this website, because I'm not trying to advertise for the spammers. I'm just sharing this amazing trick with you so you can wonder about this as I do. See those people on their mounts below the floating words of Orc Warlocks? We had been covering up the letters while they were all laying on the ground, and we felt pretty awesome. Covering up spam, and saving the rest of Orgrimmar from the advertisers. We were about to take a screen shot (this was intended to be a shot of them still being covered up) when BAM! they all popped up, and levitated in the air, as if they were taunting us. When people started casting lots of spells to try and cover up their word, they just jetted over to the top of the bank in Orgrimmar. I have no idea how this was done.... it still astounds me.

Well, that's that, just thought you all might enjoy the story. Cheers!

Things Are Shaping Up Nicely

I have been grinding out my honor lately so I could finally get my hands on some pieces of Relentless armor (the Spaulders and Sabatons), and these things not only look good, but are a serious boost to my PvP armor. I've been having a lot of fun with my new armor and PvP expertise. I have been PvPing non-stop lately, only stopping to do my daily heroic or gem my new pieces of sweet armor. And I have to say, I love the look of these new Relentless pieces. I've really been looking forward to upgrading my armor, and now that I have, being a Hunter just gets better. I harbor a great love towards hunters, and when good gear goes together with a great class, the game's the best it can be. Just wanted to share my random spurt of satisfaction with hunters (more than usual, that is), and tell you about the new armor. Now if I can just get rid of these damn trinkets...

Big Raids Are Big Fun

I got the achievement! I would say it's been a long time coming, but I actually got it on my second go at it... the first go was one day prior. But still, it feels good to have it done, especially because of how quickly we took down all the leaders. We swept through like a horde (haha) of barbarians, and destroyed their leaders with little player resistance. Even when the Alliance managed to respond to our last hit at Iron Forge, they were far to late with far too little. They did have around thirty people, but our little 25 still destroyed them.

I feel like a king, riding atop my Black War Bear. Granted, it's not my favorite looking mount, but it definitely does have a certain status surrounding it. You know, of pure awesomeness and dominion over the game.

I don't know how many of you have experienced this, but the feeling I got when traveling, on a rampage for the leaders and players of the Alliance, was great.

It really makes you feel good, knowing you'll soon be destroying the figurehead of the enemy, with no hope for the other side of stopping you. Yes, it's great, and hopefully I'll be feeling it again sometime, because even without the promise of one of the most sought-after achievements in the game, it's damn fun. Here's one last screen shot of me in the graveyard near Iron Forge after being killed. Once we killed the King, a surge of Alliance came for our heads. Even as a hunter, you can only survive for so long.

P.S. To all you Alliance players, no hard feelings, alright?

Human Huugg

I was in The Culling of Stratholme the other day, and decided I would take a quick shot for all of the readers (if any exist). I've been getting this dungeon for my random quite a bit lately, as I've been trying to build my emblem and raiding set. I see Huugg as a human, and it's been getting me thinking about making a human. I've hated humans since my WoW conception, because they are the central race of the Alliance. However, as I play more, I have dulled down my Alliance hate as I start to meet chill people on that side of the banner. So, seeing my character transformed as a human (granted, this is not the haircut or face I would want) makes me realize how cool they can look. Maybe a Night Elf (Garwulf much?) or Dwarf, but I think I want to experience the Alliance side of the game before Cataclysm comes along and tears up that experience forever. If you have any thoughts on this (by "you" I mean a reader, but I might just be talking to myself), drop me a comment and let me know what race you like the most Alliance side, and why, because I just can't decide which I should take up. If you decide to comment, please base what race you like best on their game experience, as well as their looks, because if the gaming's fun, but the character's a little ugly (Tauren) then I would be down to play them.

The Huntsman's Lodge Writing Contest

A recent Census study indicates that: if you are here, there is a 99.99% chance you have been linked here via the Huntsman's Lodge. But, just in case you weren't, I'd like to show you two things:
  1. My favorite Hunter's blog.
  2. My epic victory.
No, I'm just kidding. The writing contest I took part in that Garwulf organized really had tough competition in it. I ended up winning the contest, and getting this guy! I'm proud of him, and although I hated Celestial Mounts before, I have won one... so I can't hate them really... but the main reason for that was that I didn't see how amazing they were! Their animation's really nice, and I love just watching the stars pop out of them, one by one. It's sweet. While the mount is cool, I want to send out a gratz to all the honorable mentions for their awesome stories, and thank Gar for organizing this awesome event. From the start, it wasn't about the mount. It was just about having fun, and Garwulf designed a good competition to do just that. Plus, thanks to Lawman for thinking of the idea in the first place! Check out The Huntsman's Lodge, this is his competition, and I don't want to say anything more and spoil his surprise. I think if you appreciate some good RP or a good story, you'd like what I wrote. Plus, check out all the honorable mentions as soon as Gar gets 'em up. Well, thanks for reading and thanks for being here.
